This 206,000 square feet BioE+ChemE Building is the fourth and final of the rebuilt Science & Engineering Quad at Stanford University, made possible from the Hewlett Packard $78 million gift to reinforce Stanford’s competitive edge in research and teaching.
On this project, Mission Bell provided extensive bamboo handrails, FSC® Western Red Cedar, reclaimed Redwood from aged wine tanks, and Bamboo to various rooms and accents throughout the building. Additionally, the casework and paneling for the mail room, break rooms, kitchens, classrooms, rest rooms and lounges was part of our scope. On the exterior, we provided trellises to match the other buildings in the quad, bridging together disciplines that were formerly scattered across Stanford’s campus.
